The LPI Art Book Group meets once a month, on the last Monday of the month, from September through June, at 7 p.m. in the Lake Placid Library on Main Street, Lake Placid.  Books related to the visual and performing arts are selected ahead of time for each month and the Bookstore Plus in Lake Placid posts the schedule and can easily order the books on the list.
 
The group is open to any interested reader, and one may attend  the discussion group,
at any month's meeting.

From time to time the Art Book Group arranges for one-day trips to museums in the region for special exhibitions.  Past visits have been to the Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, the Remington Museum in Ogdensburg, and the Shelburne Museum in Vermont, among other venues.
